{"id":426,"date":"2022-06-09T12:20:44","date_gmt":"2022-06-09T11:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.odf.ie\/corporate-information\/"},"modified":"2022-06-09T12:20:44","modified_gmt":"2022-06-09T11:20:44","slug":"corporate-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.odf.ie\/ga\/about-us\/corporate-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Corporate Information"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Staffing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The staffing level of the Office of the Ombudsman for the Defence Forces is currently<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>One Investigation Officer (Assistant Principal Officer);<\/li><li>One Case Manager (Higher Executive Officer);<\/li><li>One Administrative Assistant (Executive Officer).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data Protection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Office of the Ombudsman for the Defence Forces is registered with the Data Protection Commissioner. The Office is also registered under the Direct Professional Access Scheme of the Bar Council of Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Health &amp; Safety<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A Health &amp; Safety Statement from the Office is in place. The Health &amp; Safety Policy regarding the building in which ODF is accommodated is primarily the responsibility of the Department of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Irish Language Policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Office of the Ombudsman for the Defence Forces is not currently prescribed Body under the Official Languages Act, 2003.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in keeping with the practice across the Public Service, the Office endeavours to provide information in both Irish and English. Annual Reports are published in both languages and www.odf.ie is also presented in both languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Confidentiality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Trust and confidence in procedures for dealing with cases are essential ingredients to the successful work of an Ombudsman.
